Our History

We are the leading Wyoming dive shop serving Casper and the surrounding area. Western Divers LTD. has a sound track record of helping customers and students enjoy the excitement of diving. We pay special attention to personal service. Your success in our programs has made us successful for over 20 years.

Western Divers LTD. is conveniently located in the Hilltop Shopping Center, near the center of the great state of Wyoming. We are unique in that we offer courses in Casper, Gillette as well as throughout the state and region. Have a swimming pool? Let us bring the adventure to you!

We are an authorized dealer for over thirty companies! Our facility sells and supports equipment from leading manufactures such as AquaLung (U.S. Divers), SeaQuest, Genesis Scuba, Sea & Sea Photographic Equipment, and more! Reasonable prices, no-pressure sales, package discounts, and exceptional service make our store a great place to shop.

Professional Instructors & Staff

Lee and Terry Burgess have run and operated Western Divers LTD since its inception in 1982. We have a qualified staff of instructors, divemasters, and a friendly sales staff of certified divers. Lee Burgess (owner) has been diving since 1977 and is a PADI Master Instructor. He has the experience of personally certifying over two thousand students! His wife Terry Burgess (manager) is also a PADI Master Instructor.

Equipment Rental

In addition to retail sales, we provide a wide range of rental equipment including regulators, buoyancy compensators, tanks, weights, masks & snorkels, fins & boots, and wetsuits.

Service and Repairs

We can offer “same day service” on most repairs because we stock an extensive inventory of service parts. Our philosophy “If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it!”, keeps our service rates cost-effective.

Air Fills

Our high-pressure air station and storage tanks can provide quality air fills on site in minutes. We are also set up for air fills in paintball bottles.

Travel Planning

Western Divers LTD has teamed up with the PADI Travel Network to make your dive travel arrangements. This gives you peace of mind knowing you are dealing with reputable facilities. We can arrange your airfare, hotel, live-aboard, snorkeling and scuba packages. Customized arrangements can be made for the individual, couple, and/or family. Our staff also hosts group dive trips throughout the year if you desire personalized assistance on trips.

Local Knowledge

Diving in Wyoming is available year round. Our most popular lake diving season is summertime, of course! You can also extend your diving adventures with regional geo-thermal waters. Or try your hand at ice diving to add to your local diving season. Spear fishing for game fish is legal in the state of Wyoming. Divers must abide by state fishing regulations and seasons. Call us for details on our favorite dive sites or if you need to find a dive buddy.

Commercial Diving

For over 20 years Western Divers LTD has been providing commercial dive services in Wyoming and surrounding states. Whether you need a lost item found, underwater inspections, or salvage of a boat, call us for a quote. With our highly experienced staff and specialized equipment, we can work in almost any conditions including night diving, ice diving, or other situations. We are also vary familiar working with government agencies regarding safety procedures and billing and are willing to provide references.
